There are some fan theories that actually make sense, some fan theories that are a bit of a stretch, and then there are some fan theories that are so crazy that you might as well have seen them spelled out on a wall written in cow dung. We’re going to avoid those particular theories, and focus on the ones that actually might make sense.
The DC universe is one that has been beloved since the 1930’s, and since then we’ve seen countless renditions of our favorite superheroes. With each passing issue, TV show, and movie comes more information that fans over analyze and create their own theories. The DCEU is a popular place for that, and we’ve seen a bunch of theories trying to predict the future, make sense of the present, and fix the past.
For example, fans have speculated that Green Lantern could very well join the Justice League in the upcoming film, and that he may start out as a villain. There are other theories that try to make sense of the Knightmare sequences in Batman v Superman, some pointing to fear gas toxins from Scarecrow, and others that connect to a multiverse scenario like Injustice: Gods Among Us. There is even talk of an Crisis on Infinite Earth scenario where we will see the Arrowverse heroes like Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl join the cast of the Justice League.
Beyond the DCEU, fans have plenty to say about the comics as well, like how Batman kills the Joker, and how Robin was created to kill Batman. With proof to back all of these theories up, you never know what might be true.
