GAH! Why did they take their mask off? What do you think? Were we too harsh on these disfigured heroes? Did we miss anyone else who really should keep their mask on? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Comic books have always been a way for us to escape our realities and idolize heroes who are larger than life. We love them because they have the power to change the things we can’t or wish we could. And like Barbie and Ken, we have also looked to them as unrealistic body goals. Seriously, most of these comic book characters are stunning, especially when translated on screen. Although, there aren’t necessarily humans who fit the exact proportions of the characters in the comics, the actors they chose are generally pretty close. These heroes are also instantly recognizable by their iconic costumes and masks. But what if we told you that not everyone looks better with their masks off? We have compiled a list of characters who should keep their masks on. Like Deadpool, whose black and red mask has become as iconic as his personality. He should definitely keep his mask on as his body looks like it has been through hell. Take that from Spawn, who has literally been through hell and has come back looking like it. These two need to keep those masks on.
Some heroes who are still attractive underneath the mask but look way cooler with them on are Spider-man and Iron Man. Spidey’s mask just adds a layer of confidence that Pete doesn’t have. And Tony Stark looks a lot more serious when he’s in the Iron Man suit. The gorgeous Catwoman is a lot less mysterious without her mask on don’t you think?
