Wolverine is one of Marvel’s most popular characters. He just dazzled fans on the big screen with the commercial and critical success of Logan, the gritty third entry in the Wolverine franchise. In that film, our favorite grumpy Canadian went on a road trip with his old buddy Charles Xavier and we couldn’t help but think of all the other awesome friendships Wolverine had made over the years in the comic books. From the merc with the mouth known as Deadpool and his on screen buddy Colossus, to some of the MCU’s most popular, including Captain America and Black Widow, Wolverine has become friends with some rather interesting behinds, even taking on a father role for both Kitty Pryde and Jubilee. He’s even become friends with some unlikely heroes, such as Spider man and has even befriended people he once knew in his CIA days before teaming up with the X Men, such as Carol Danvers herself, more commonly known as Captain Marvel, who will have her own movie in 2018 with Brie Larson in the starring role. Wolverine even has a bestie, in the form of the fan favorite Xmen known as Nightcrawler, made famous for his blue skin and teleportation ability. Who knew that someone who's generally seen as being grumpy and antisocial could have such a powerful list of friends and that Wolverine cared deeply for them but when you dive into the comic book lore, there’s a lot to discover about our adamantium Canadian.
