Will we get to see a new evil Green Ranger on screen next year? With the upcoming 2021 Power Rangers Dino Furyand its introduction of the first Green Ranger Izzy Garcia, it is highly possible. The trailer hints at the show’s origins with footage from the first season, and gives a lot of importance to the Dino Zords. Dino Fury being the second entry in the Hasbro Era, anything is possible really.
The show has reintroduced the original Red Ranger Jason in the latest season to help the Beast Morphers Rangers in fighting a powerful enemy. That was done through summoning Jason using the T-Rex Power Coin that was found stuck in a rock Jurassic Park style. The show has been known to feature Jason David Frank as the original Green Ranger Tommy Oliver throughout the years since 1993. His latest incarnation is the one of Lord Drakkon. While he only appears in a trailer made for the comic book Shattered Grid, with Hasbro’s intention of expanding the Power Rangersuniverse tells me we might see Lord Drakkon pretty soon in live-action.
With all the rumours buzzing around the new film, and its inclusion of a female leader, I have a feeling Green Ranger Izzy Ranger will take the position as leader, while struggling with her dark side.
In this video, I will discuss what we know so far about the upcoming movie, Izzy’s role as the new Green Ranger, and how her fate will be intertwined with Earth’s Tommy Oliver and the evil Lord Drakkon. This promises to be a Green Ranger Battle Royale!
