The Star Wars Universe has a lot of things going for it. It has strange creatures, swashbuckling adventure, planetary stakes, dogfights in space...lightsabers. The defining feature of the Star Wars world, however, is that hokey old religion that Han Solo has so little faith in, The Force. It was so eloquently described by Alec Guiness as Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars A New Hope and then less eloquently by Qui-Gon Jinn as a bacterial infection in Star Wars Phantom Menace. The Force, that thing that binds the universe together, can be pretty powerful in the right or wrong hands. There are some hands in the Star Wars world that more adept at handling that power than others, there are some species that are born into contact with the Force. It can take the form of just having a large proportion of their populace becoming Jedi or it can be so ubiquitous that they forgo regular senses altogether in lieu of just using the Force to do things like seeing. From the original Sith to the Kiffar who can read the history of inanimate objects. There are even Space Dragons and snot vampires out there wielding the Force like it was just an extra limb. Maybe they take the form of loyal Padawans like the Togruta or they don’t want anything at all to do with the Jedi like the H’dratchi, content to just look through time and decide that things will all work out.
