Star Wars: Baby Yoda's Grim Future

The Mandalorian featured one of the biggest breakout stars of the new Star Wars stories. No, not Din Djarin, well, also Din Djarin, but the real breakout star is the little guy named Grogu. Whether you call him Grogu or The Child or Baby Yoda he was practically all anyone wanted to talk about in the Mandalorian. After two seasons the little guy seems to have gotten his happy ending as he’s finally found his Jedi Master to finish his training and become a Jedi Master himself. If there is one thing we should be absolutely certain about after nine movies in the Skywalker saga and that animated Star Wars shows is that becoming a Jedi Master isn’t the end of your troubles, it’s just the beginning. The Mandalorian takes place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, meaning that we have a pretty good idea what happens to Grogu’s master in the next 30 years. But it’s not like it’s smooth sailing for Grogu’s new friends. Ahsoka is after Admiral Thrawn, Bo Katan is after Mandalore, and Boba Fett is after Jabba the Hut’s old gang...is there any safe space for little Grogu? With all paths beset with danger and adventure and Grogu being more popular than pancakes and rainbows we’re sure to see more of the little guy, but the question is just where that will be? Is he done in by Ben Solo aka Kylo Ren? Does he tell Rey that he’s had enough of Skywalkers trying to train him? Let’s take a look at what lies in store for the cutest little green fella since Kermit the Frog.
