The folks in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are discovering something that most of us have known for a while now, that Wanda Maximoff aka The Scarlet Witch is one of the most powerful people on Earth. Even Wanda isn’t fully aware of how powerful she really is. Since her introduction people have had a hard time pinning down what her power really is, choosing to call it ‘weird.’ The response team to the Maximoff Anomaly had thought she was tapping into her ability to futz with people’s perception but have learned that she is actually rewriting reality itself. But she’s been bringing the pain since the very beginning and there have been signs that she’s been the power house she’s demonstrating now all along. There are moments that you can see her realizing her power in the moment, like when Thanos tries to crush her and the little dark light goes on inside of her and she realizes that she can crush the Mad Titan. Ultron has also been on the receiving end of Wanda’s rage. Maybe SWORD out to take notes about what happens to people who anger Wanda Maximoff. Before Wanda even got into the reality bending business she was able to do some serious damage just by moving things with her mind. These are moments where Scarlet Witch really showed her power or really brought the pain. All good reasons to avoid the Scarlet Witch’s bad side if at all possible.
