WandaVision: Wanda Isn't In Control Of Westview

WandaVision is definitely not something that the Marvel Cinematic Universe has done before. It’s not really what anyone has done before. One of those things that hasn’t been done before is her traveling through the things that have been done a lot of before, American sitcoms. For reasons that no one has seemed to address yet, Wanda is not only living a sitcom reality but she’s broadcasting it to anyone who still has a non-digital TV. Will the 2010 sitcom era be broadcast in HD? One of the nagging questions that the show has hinged on is who is in control of this illusion, or is it even an illusion. Wanda says she isn’t. But she has also very forcibly said that she is in charge. She’s demonstrated control over the reality including the ability to reset people when they go off script. When people invaded her reality she’s gotten increasingly forceful in letting them know that she’s in charge of this reality. Though not everything in the Westview Anomaly seems to be obeying Wanda’s commands. She can’t even get the babies to sleep with her magic, laughing at her efforts. Even the stork wouldn’t submit to her magic. She also doesn’t seem to know exactly what the anomaly is, what it wants, or how it started. As long as she’s with Vision, though, she’s not asking any questions. But if she’s not in charge, who is? And what do they want? Mephisto? Nightmare? Acting Director Hayward?
