Demon Slayer has taken the world by storm. The Demon Slayer movie has surpassed Spirited Away and Your Name and has become the highest grossing anime film of all time. First published in 2016, Demon Slayer’s anime hit the scene recently and has quickly skyrocketed to Big Three status when it comes to anime. What makes Demon Slayer so appealing? The combat? The story? Well its a little of column A and a little of column B. Demon Slayer tells a compelling story simply and effectively. Humans taking on supernatural demons. The core magic system in Demon Slayer is the Breathing Styles. They are special techniques that give a normal human even footing against a powerful demon. Breathing Techniques all stem from the first Breathing Technique that was used to slay demons; Sun Breathing. The only other thing that can kill a demon is sunlight, so trying to incorporate that into sword fighting is the next best thing. Of course there are many other Breathing styles that fit different Demon Slayers. In fact, that is what we are looking at today. We will be taking a look at all the Breathing Styles featured in Demon Slayer and ranking them on which one is the strongest. We will be looking at which Breathing Style has the most utility and the most lethality. Some of these Breathing Styles have been practiced by other Demon Slayers and others are totally original and used by only one swordsman.
