The Falcon and The Winter Soldier TV show is finally here! Phase 4 of the MCU got off to a tremendous start thanks to WandaVision, which gave us a trippy, unique viewing experience to reintroduce us to the Marvel Universe after a long wait. But now with the Falcon and the Winter Soldier show, it looks like the MCU is getting back to more straightforward storytelling that we’re used to. And this time, we’re highlighting two fantastic characters who specifically needed more spotlight and character development.
And while the show is obviously focused on Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, remember that a superhero show is only as good as its villains! While Baron Zemo is the highly touted returning villain and the Big Bad for the season, let’s not forget about the other great villain who’s making his grand return to the MCU: Batroc the Leaper!
Last seen trying to challenge Captain America to a fist fight, Batroc is back to cause trouble for Falcon and the Winter Soldier. We know he’s dangerous, but the first episode of the MCU show highlighted just how big of a threat Batroc can be to someone like Sam. But where exactly did this character come from? And what role will he play in the show moving forward? Could he and his mighty legs be joining Zemo’s Thunderbolts? Hey, it’s Phase 4! Anything can happen.
