Firebending is one of the four bending arts in the world of Avatar. Like airbending, FIrebending does not rely on physical elements to bend like water and earth. Firebenders can create flames from their own bodies using their natural heat to create flames. The people of the fire nation are passionate and determined which can sometimes come off as hot headedness. In terms of raw power, Firebenders are the strongest individual benders out of the four elements. The ability to firebend came from the Dragons, the first firebenders. Mankind learned from the dragons to attain the ability of firebending. Since then there have been many powerful individual firebenders and a few subclasses of firebending. The most common subclass is to generate lightning. To produce a fire so hot that it is no longer fire, but plasma is a devastating art. Because it strikes so quickly, Lightning generation is often called “Cold-Blooded Fire”. The other, rarer form of Firebending is combustion bending. This art is not entirely known since only two confirmed combustion benders have existed and both are dead. It involves a mixture of ki and breathing to create a point of explosive energy that is launched from the benders mind. In this video we will go over the different forms of firebending and determine which firebender is the strongest out of all the firebenders in the Avatar franchise. While raw power will be the determining factor, we will also look at skill and intelligence as well. Sometimes the strongest firebender is the one who knows how to control the flames the best.
