Mortal Kombat is kind of the granddaddy of the fighting game mostly sticking to a pretty simple formula, ridiculous levels of martial arts and even bigger stories. The Mortal Kombat wasn’t your average completely crazy martial arts tournament that attracts magical martial artists. Mortal Kombat was a tournament between realms for the right for rulership. Who set up a system like that? The Elder Gods who aren’t around anymore to explain why they thought that was a good idea. With stakes that high you’re not going to get your average bound for glory kind of combatant. You’re going to get some really ambitious characters and some driven by really brutal rivalries. At the core of Mortal Kombat’s biggest rivalries is Sub Zero, one half of the Motocross Ninjas that make up Mortal Kombat’s freshman class. After killing the man who would become Scorpion, Sub Zero was subsequently killed by Scorpion after becoming Scorpion. But that was only the beginning for Bi Han, the first Sub Zero who would then go on to become Noob Saibot, and Kuai Liang, Bi-Han’s younger brother, had a whole series of adventures of his own. The new Mortal Kombat movie covers the franchise’s oldest ninja rivalry between Scorpion and Sub Zero, but there’s a lot of stories to tell. Which Sub Zero storyline would you like to see if there’s a sequel to the new Mortal Kombat movie? Let us know in the comments and be sure to like and subscribe to CBR for more videos.
