Iron Man made the ultimate sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame and saved the world, but Tony Stark isn’t as heroic as you might think. It turns out that Tony almost always needed help to win his battles because there were some he just couldn’t win alone. Whether it was Pepper Potts, Happy Hogan, War Machine, Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man or a whole bunch of the Avengers, Iron Man needed help at one point or another and it became a very odd trend throughout Tony Stark’s time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Stark needed support when fighting the main villain in each of the Iron Man films. Surprisingly, he needed Pepper’s help with Obadiah Stane, The Madarin and Aldrich Killian. In fact, she dealt the final blow on two of those three villains. He needed Happy and Rhodey’s help with Whiplash. Happy helped him out in Monaco and Rhodey gave him a hand in the final battle. Unsurprisingly, Tony had no answer to the Mad Titan, Thanos, in Infinity War. Luckily, Stark got his revenge in Endgame and finally took Thanos down for good, but it came at the cost of his life.
What do you think about all this? Do you think Marvel Studios did Tony Stark dirty by not making him beat most of his opponents outright? Because I sure think so. Let me know your opinion in the comments section below and don’t forget to like, share and subscribe to CBR for more MCU content.
