20 Reasons Moon Knight is Marvel's Batman

He stalks the night, he wears a big cape, he has a cool ride, he’s a world-class detective, he has an impressive array of themed gadgets. He is the night, he is...Marc Spector the Knight of Moons. Wait, what? Doesn’t that sound like Gotham’s Caped Crusader? It sure does. And you wouldn’t be the first person to notice. Pallet swap heroes across publishers are not an uncommon thing, but even when characters seem like they’re the same, their similarities can highlight exactly how different they really are. There are simple similarities that have widely different results. Both crime-fighting heroes want to make an impression with their costumes. Good old Bats favors the dark-suited bat theme to hide in the shadows while Moon Demon ‘wants them to see him coming.’ Civilian helpers like Frenchie and Alfred highlight the different ways the two execute their missions, the origins of their sweet gear like the Mooncopter or the Batmobile, their aliases. The more same they seem the more different it becomes clear they are. In the end, The Moon Man is less MCU’s World's Greatest Detective and more a continuation of a line that goes all the way back to Walter Gibson’s Shadow.
