10 Marvel Moments Where Spider-Man Ended Up Dying

As the saying goes, no one stays dead in comics except Uncle Ben. While that’s sad for the Web-Slinger, he may have inherited his Uncle’s guiding wisdom, he didn’t inherit his uncle’s commitment to staying dead. The Web-Slinger has met his maker a few times only to come out the other end tanned, rested, and ready to take on bad guys once more. Sometimes the entirety of reality has to be rewritten by friends like Doctor Strange or Illyana from the New Mutants, and sometimes aid will come from the last place you’d expect, like long-time foe Otto Octavius, better known as Doctor Octopus. No matter how many times Peter dies and comes back, each time his passing is a pretty major event. It can even attract the likes of big figures like Thanos or be at the hands of none other than Doctor Doom. Whether it’s galactic level threats, old foes, or dimension jumping murderers with a spider-totem theme to their killing, Web Boy in most cases has found a way to make it back to the world of the living to swing again. In the rare exception, there has been another spider totem in the wings waiting to take up the mantle, a character known as Miles Morales.
