Akira Toriyama’s iconic Dragon Ball Franchise and its multiverse is practically overrun with Gods of Destruction, Supreme Kais, Angels and other divine beings, not the least of which would be Universe 7’s Beerus and Whis. But even Gods eventually need to step down and allow someone else to take the reins… and some fans are pointing to none other than Broly, formerly known as the Legendary Super Saiyan, as a worthy candidate to the title.
The big guy certainly is one of, if not THE absolutely strongest mother that ever graced the face of the franchise so far, but power alone does not make a perfect destructor God. It is a position of great power, but also one of responsibility, carefully considered actions, none of which are the black-haired berserker’s strongest suit. Which undoubtedly has something to do with the less than stellar parenting and the barren rock of a world he lived on for the majority of his life. Not everyone gets to be a short, prideful prince of an entire alien race, after all.
However, there are many aspects to the big guy’s character - especially when compared to other candidates that have been thrown around, be it in canon or by fans - that do point to the possibility that he may one day be worthy to step up and claim the title - and in this video, we are going to go through all the reasons why he is the prime candidate that this universe can find… along with a few reasons why he isn’t.
