10 Marvel Henchmen More Powerful Than The Main Villain

You’ve heard the saying a hero is only as good as their villain, well on top of that, sometimes a villain is only as good as their henchmen. Sometimes the main baddie of a comic or a movie is more of an idea person, leaving all the heavy lifting and the fighting to their second-in-command, making that person an incredibly dangerous threat. So is there a list anywhere of all the Marvel henchmen who are actually stronger than the main villain? Hey, you’re in luck! There is now!
There’s overall so many examples to choose from for today’s list, both in the comics and in the MCU. For instance, I would count The Winter Soldier as a henchman in the second Captain America movie who clearly was the bigger threat. Like yes, Alexander Pierce was the main bad guy, but he knew how to use the brainwashed super soldier perfectly! I mean, the movie is named after him! And in the Black Widow movie, it was quite clear that Taskmaster was much stronger and more powerful than Dreykov, but was under that pesky mind control! Don’t you hate it when that happens? And then over in the comics you have top assassins like Bullseye who is definitely more powerful than mostly whoever he works for. And you know another mercenary who started off as a henchmen before becoming a headliner? It’s Deadpool! That’s right, given his comic origins, I had to include him on the list!
