We always like to talk about which of Marvel’s greatest heroes have the biggest brains around, and we love to debate the intellectual differences between Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic, but what about the villain side of things? There are some extremely intelligent baddies out there in the Marvel Universe and it’s time they were given the spotlight!

When you think of intelligent Marvel bad guys, your mind probably first jumps to some of the big shots like Doctor Doom or Ultron. Both are great choices. Doom has an intellect that’s on par with Tony Stark and Reed Richards, but his massive ego and quest for power and domination always gets in the way of his brain power. Ultron is a highly sophisticated enemy that will always continue to get smarter the longer that he’s online. He’s constantly upgrading and learning new ways to cause trouble for the Avengers. But also don’t forget about the Mad Titan Thanos. He may seem like a brute force villain, but his intelligence and his past history makes him one of the greatest minds in the universe. And what about others? Doc Ock? Kang the Conqueror? The Leader? M.O.D.O.K.? How do they all stack up to each other in terms of brain power?
