🍎 Melt-In-Your-Mouth Apple & Cream Cheese Cake

🛒 Ingredients

For the Cake Batter:
• 3 large eggs
• 100 g sugar (½ cup)
• Pinch of salt
• 130 g Greek yogurt (½ cup)
• 50 g melted butter (3½ tbsp)
• 230 g all-purpose flour (about 1¾ cups)
• 2 tsp baking powder

For the Apple Layer:
• 2 medium apples, diced
• 30 g butter (2 tbsp)
• 50 g sugar (¼ cup)

For the Cream Cheese Layer:
• 350 g farmer’s cheese, quark, or well-drained cottage cheese
• 150 g Greek yogurt (⅔ cup)
• 50 g sugar (¼ cup)
• 10 g vanilla sugar (or 1 tsp vanilla extract)
• 50 g cornstarch (about ⅓ cup)

👩‍🍳 Directions

1. Prepare the cake batter by whisking the eggs, sugar, and salt.
2. Add Greek yogurt and melted butter, then mix until smooth.
3. Stir in flour and baking powder until combined.
4. Spread the batter evenly into the baking pan.
5. Cook the apples with butter and sugar for a few minutes until slightly softened.
6. Spread the apple mixture over the batter.
7. Mix all ingredients for the cream cheese layer until smooth and creamy.
8. Spoon the mixture evenly over the apples.
9. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 50–60 minutes until golden brown and fully set.
