In almost every MMO to come before it, grouping up with friends right from the start is pretty simple. As long as you all coordinate beforehand, you should be starting at the same area, depending on the game. In New World, however, things run a bit different - at least in the Closed Beta. Your starting area, unfortunately, seems to be completely random, which can make teaming up difficult. So here's how to team up with your friends in New World.
