he shocking first look at Black Adam (no pun intended) from DC FanDome 2021 delivered by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson may have left many fans reeling considering the main character makes a violent first impression by electrocuting a man to death with his superpowers. This is definitely NOT Shazam (Zachary Levi), this is the dark version with the same powers known as Black Adam. The Rock has hyped up this DC anti-hero for years and now we wade through the murky waters of whether this character is good, evil or something in between. Black Adam's origin begins in the ancient city of Kahndaq where he was a slave given powers by the Wizard Shazam, but Black Adam went too far when he named himself ruler of the nation and was banished. He awakes in modern times and the Justice Society of America is there to help him, but can a man with so much pain and power truly be saved?
