In today's episode of IGN The Fix: Entertainment, Sony was not to pleased to share Spider-Man with Marvel...at first. As detailed in the book The Story of Marvel Studios, Sony chairperson Amy Pascal practically threw Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige out of her office when he suggested that his studio reboot Spider-Man. However, after she realized that Feige had a great idea on his hands, the two movie giants struck a deal that paved the way for Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War and for the franchise's new Peter Parker, Tom Holland, to get his own series of Spider-Man solo films. Spider-Man: No Way Home, the third in the series, arrives in theaters this December. In other box office news, Dune is sandworming its way to the top of the charts with an impressive $40 million debut over the weekend. This bodes well for the sequel, which has not yet been green-lit by Warner Bros. Well, if they don't, $40 million-worth of fans will be pretty upset, considering this movie officially calls itself Dune: Part 1. And finally, last week news broke that Hayden Christensen will be returning to a galaxy far, far away in a second Disney+ series. Christensen will appear alongside Rosario Dawson in the Ahsoka live-action show, presumably as Anakin Skywalker in flashback or even Force ghost form. Or maybe as Darth Vader in the suit...who knows?! Christensen will also be in the Obi-wan series, reuniting with his former Prequel Trilogy cast-mate Ewan McGregor.
