Netflix canceled Cowboy Bebop. The live action adaptation of the anime, Cowboy Bebop, will see its beginning and end in one season. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Spike Spiegel and friends won’t be picking up any more bounties, despite the cliffhanger in the final episode where they also revealed a new crew member familiar to fans of the original series. According to Netflix’s vice president of original programming Cindy Holland, the reason why shows like Cowboy Bebop are cancelled has more to do with the company’s overall return on investment. Back in 2018 during the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour, Holland said their decision making is "based on a viewership versus cost of renewal review process, which determines whether the cost of producing another season of a show is proportionate to the number of viewers that the show receives." #CowboyBebop just wasn’t a smash hit for #Netflix. In other entertainment news,The Game Awards gave us our first trailer for the upcoming Halo TV series. Coming to Paramount+, we’ll soon see Master Chief and the entire world made famous by the video game franchise brought to life on the small screen. And finally, we here at IGN partnered with Rogue Games to produce Rogue Jam: a brand-new game jam offering exclusive development deals to competing indie game developers.
