'All-New PlayStation Plus' Subscription Tiers Explained - IGN Daily Fix

Sony has finally announced its revision of its PlayStation Plus subscription service, effectively combining PS Plus and PS Now, alongside adding premium tiers that look likely to compete with Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass. With the new PlayStation Plus Premium and PlayStation Plus Extra, subscribers will be able to download or stream hundreds of PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games including 340 games from PS3, PS2, PS1 and PSP.

Sony's PlayStation Plus subscription service will not add first-party exclusive games to PlayStation Plus on the day they release (at least not yet). PlayStation boss Jim Ryan says in the short term brand new games from the likes of Naughty Dog, Insomniac, or Guerrilla would not arrive on the service on day one launch. Currently, Xbox Game Pass offers day one launch access via Xbox Game Pass though SONY PlayStation Jim Ryan says SONY's stance could change very quickly.
