Set in the sprawling world of Aionios, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a JRPG that follows a cast of characters who seek to break a never ending cycle of violence in their homeland. If you’re new to the series, here’s what you need to know before you play Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Sponsored by Nintendo.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the sequel to both Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles. The story follows a band of characters, Noah, Mio, Lanz, Eunie, Sena and Taion who are born on opposite sides of a never ending war. Aionios is home to two nations Keves and Agnus, and the people of both sides have to fight in order to extend their lives. Both Noah and Mio are off-seers, people whose job it is to perform a special ritual for soldiers who have died in battle. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has an all new story so players don’t need to have played the previous Xenoblade Chronicles games to understand the story. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 features creatures of all sizes to fight. Characters can use special attacks called arts to inflict damage and status effects on enemies. Characters can have one of three role actions: attacker, defender or healer. Developed by Monolithsoft and published by Nintendo, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is out now on Nintendo Switch. An expansion pass for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will expand players’ journey throughout 2022 and 2023.
