In today's Daily Fix:
Xbox Game Pass Wave 2 for November has been announced, and there are some real bangers in this lineup. First up is the latest Flight Simulator game, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which is available now. Next is the long-awaited S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl which arrives tomorrow, November 20th. Little Kitty, Big City hits the service the same day, and the following week sees Nine Sols and Aliens: Dark Descent. In other news, Sony is reportedly in talks with Japanese media company Kadokawa to add it to Sony's stable of subsidiaries. Kadokawa is known for publishing manga and anime, and also has several game studios under their umbrella, including Elden Ring developer FromSoftware. And finally, in a rare move win for business transparency, Remedy Entertainment has revealed how many copies of their upcoming games they need to sell to break even. The multiplayer-centric FBC: Firebreak needs to sell 3 million copies, and Control 2 needs 3-4 million. It's worth noting that the budgets for these are relatively modest compared to other AAA games (ahem, Marvel's Spider-Man 2): the combined budgets are around $84 million.
