Battlefield 6 is scheduled to launch on October 10, 2025, across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, marking a massive return to form for the franchise with both a single-player campaign and extensive multiplayer modes. The campaign, set in 2027, follows a fractured NATO’s battle against the ruthless private military company, Pax Armata, across diverse theaters like New York, Gibraltar, and the Sahara. Multiplayer revives classic class-based warfare with Assault, Support, Engineer, and Recon roles, enhanced with a new Kinesthetic Combat System that enables dynamic movement like weapon mounting, dragging teammates, and fluid sprint-diving. Massive 128-player battles are backed by tactical destruction, letting players reshape environments and forge their own battlefield advantages, plus an improved Portal mode empowers custom game creation. The open beta - now the largest in series history - drew over half a million players and showcased revamped features like Empire State map, Rush and Conquest modes, and real-time developer tweaks ahead of launch.
