"R30" was filmed on Rush's 30th Anniversary tour in 2004 on September 24 at the Festhalle in Frankfurt. The R30 concerts showcased the band's entire career with tracks from the early seventies onwards. The show was originally released worldwide in 2005 and then in HD in North America only in 2009. Eight tracks were cut from the show for the 2005 release. These were then added back in for the North American HD release but this contained no bonus features.
