Producer, artist, songwriter, and two-time GRAMMY winner, Diplo, sat down with music critic Dan DeLuca for an Up Close & Personal conversation presented by the Philadelphia Chapter. The two discussed Diplo's extensive background in dance music from his roots in the Florida DJ culture, re-selling records to Kayne West and Questlove, being a part of the Beats Society, building up his Mad Decent label and block party in Philadelphia, and now finding success worldwide with Major Lazer, collaborating with Skrillex in Jack Ü, writing and performing with Major Lazer, and producing two songs for Beyoncé's Lemonade album.
