With 61 editions the Eurovision Song Contest is Guinness book of records holder for longest running TV entertainment show. To ensure every contest runs smoothly the entire process gets supervised by the EBU. The executive supervisor of the contest from 1978 to 1992 was Frank Naef. In two parts we will talk with mr Naef about his experience and also about the contest nowadays.
Frank Naef states that there weren't too many changes between his first and last contest as scrutiniser. However, when Sandra Kim won the contest as a thirteen year old, a rule was created which stated that participants can only be 16 years or older. The rule was added 4 years after Sandra Kim won the contest and is still in place at this time.
