RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER

An acoustic version of a Christmas classic! This cello cover of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” is the perfect addition to your Christmas playlist. An all-time children favourite, the song was composed by Johnny Marks in 1949 after Robert Lewis May’s fable. Popularly known as “Santa’s ninth reindeer”, Rudolph is a young buck usually depicted as the lead reindeer pulling Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve. Though he receives scrutiny for it, the luminosity of his nose is so great that it illuminates the team's path through harsh winter weather.

LYRICS:

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen
You know Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen
But do you recall
The most famous reindeer of all?
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Had a very shiny nose
And if you ever saw it
You would even say it glows
All of the other reindeer
Used to laugh and call him names
They never let poor Rudolph
Join in any reindeer games
Then one foggy Christmas Eve,
Santa came to say
“Rudolph with your nose so bright,
Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?”
Then all the reindeer loved him
as they shouted out with glee
“Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
you'll go down in history!”
