With just over 200 days until the Grand Final, the slogan of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv has been revealed... Dare to Dream. The slogan was announced by Jon Ola Sand, the Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest. Theme artwork to support the slogan and the list of participating countries will be revealed at a later date.
Sad news from Latvia this month. Valters Fridenbergs, who represented Latvia in 2005 with The War Is Not Over as part of the duo Walters & Kasha, passed away aged 30. On behalf of the entire Eurovision Family, we would like to extend our deepest condolences to Valters' family and friends.
Earlier this month, Australian broadcaster SBS launched the first ever national selection contest to select the artist and song to represent the country in Tel Aviv in May. Songwriters have until Sunday 4 November to submit their songs via sbs.com.au/eurovision.
