Clarence George Carter (born January 14, 1936) is an American blues and soul singer, musician, songwriter and record producer. From being born blind in Montgomery, Alabama, to starting the C & C boys with Calvin Scott, to going solo, Carter released 37 studio albums between 1968 and 2015. Being the versatile musician he is, Carter’s style adapted to accommodate the popular Disco groove while keeping his signature sound in tact when it arrived on the scene. “Mr. Clarence Carter In Person” sits right on the edge of that era with it’s 1981 release date.
