Ingram was a band of brothers and sisters from Camden, NJ who picked up a love of Gospel at an early age from their minister father. Originally names The Ecstasies, Ingram’s first recording was self produced by one of the last siblings to join the band, Butch who jumped on the roster when his basketball career ended due to injury. 1976’s ‘The Funk is In Our Music’ got them signed to Excello Records. Would You Like To Fly was one of their final albums and one of the two they released on Mirage Records in the 80’s before going their separate ways. Throughout their career, they remained a fully autonomous band with everything including the publishing in their control.
