The 2019 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Tel Aviv. It is the third time Israel will host the contest. Previously they organised the contest in 1979 and 1999.
This year, 41 countries from Europe and beyond will participate. There are no newcomers and no returning countries this year. The youngest participant of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest is ZENA from Belarus.
This year, eighteen male solo acts will perform on the Eurovision stage. Fourteen female solo acts will take the stage. In the passed ten years, the Eurovision Song Contest was won by a solo act 9 times. Ell & Nikki were the only duo to win Eurovision in the passed 10 years.
Speaking about duos. We have three duos performing at the 2019 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. One male duo from Finland, one female duo from Germany and Zala and Gašper from Slovenia.
Finally we will see six groups on stage in Tel Aviv. Lake Malawi from Czech Republic, Hatari from Iceland, Carousel from Latvia, D Mol from Montenegro, KEiiNO from Norway and Tulia from Poland.
Next week we will look into the languages that we will hear in Tel Aviv!
