The Eurovision Song Contest is a great platform for known artists and newcomers. Performing your song in front of an audience of nearly 200 million viewers is an experience of a lifetime. Some artists like their Eurovision experience so much, that they decide to return.
This year we have six artists returning to the contest.
Jurij Veklenko performed twice at the Eurovision Song Contest, but never as the front man. In 2013 and 2015 he was one of the backing vocals for Lithuania.
Tamara Todevska from North Macedonia will enter the Eurovision stage in Tel Aviv for the fourth time. Twice, she did not take the main spotlight, but performed as a backing singer in 2004 and ten years later in 2014. In 2008 she performed together with Vrčak and Adrijan with the song Let Me Love You. Unfortunately, she didn’t make it to the final in Belgrade.
Nevena Božović from neighbour Serbia was only 13 years old when she performed at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. She came third in Rotterdam. In 2013, when the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Malmö, she performed on the Eurovision stage as part of Moje 3. The group didn’t qualify for the final.
Joci Pápai from Hungary won national selection A Dal in 2017 with Origo. He went on to the Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv where he placed 8th with 200 points.
In 2016, Serhat went to the Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm with his song I Didn’t Know. He just missed out on making it to the final by ending up at the 12th spot in the Semi-Final.
In the same year, Sergey Lazarev represented Russia. He did not only qualify for the final. He managed to win the televote and end up on the third place after Ukraine and Australia.
