Wake Up is the tenth and last album by American R&B group Shalamar, released in 1990 on the SOLAR label. It is the second Shalamar album to feature the line-up of Delisa Davis, Micki Free and Sydney Justin. In a very experimental album, the group took a different direction with their music with new jack swing otherwise known as swing beat music. This genre was coming in to popularity in the mid 80s to early 90s made popular by Janet Jackson in her third studio album Control, which is where Shalamar drew their influences from for this album.
