Rough Rider is the third studio album by Lakeside which was released in 1979 on the SOLAR Records label. The album was produced by Dick Griffey, Lakeside, and Leon Sylvers who point to Lakeside's strengths as a band as they can churn out deeply grooving rhythms without the common funk trappings of horns and strings. "From 9:00 AM Until" kicks off the album with a fine bass moog-led groove with some fresh rhythm guitar licks and smooth harmony vocals. The whole album is tight and represents the signature Lakeside sound.
