Gardenview out now, listen on Spotify (sptfy.com/gardenview) or wherever you listen to music.

Ok so long story short, until my mid-twenties I slept like a BABY. Then I got a dog (who was often sick at night because she was allergic to fish (yes, this is the short story)) and I started to sleep very poorly. Every time I heard her move I would awaken with a shot of adrenaline, in the hopes that I could pick her up and run her outside before something awful happened. Even after we solved the fish problem, I was unintentionally on alert. Despite my best efforts I couldn't turn my brain off. This went on for years and inspired one good song.
WORTH IT.
But not really.
In any case, if you suffer from insomnia TRY A FAN. Just a regular old fan. It makes noise and circulates air, because that's what fans do. (I also recommend keeping some Ambien by the bed just in case.)

LYRICS
I don't want no coffee
Don't want no cup of tea
I don't want to talk to you
And you don't want to talk to me
I don't care about your weekend
How your kid's doing in school
Bitch I'm barely functioning
So won't you please just play it cool
Just play it cool

Good morning insomnia
How have you been
I can't wake my body up
What time is it

I guess I'm stuck in traffic
And there is no end in sight
I'm not listening to this podcast
I'm just staring at the light
You can make it through the day
You can do it just don't stop
I wish I could turn my brain off
But I can't turn it off
Can't turn it off

Good morning insomnia
How have you been
I can't wake my body up
What is this shit
