How does a young artist prepare for playing the main stage at Reading and Leeds? Radio 1 goes behind the scenes with YUNGBLUD, headliner pro Dave Ghrol, and the festival organiser Melvin Benn.

Five years ago Dominic Harrison moved to London in the hope of becoming a singer. He was working in a guitar shop and trying to get a break in the music industry. Now, age 22, he's better known as YUNGBLUD. Radio 1's Jack Saunders finds out how this transformation happened. Over six months Jack will follow YUNGBLUD in his preparations for the biggest moment in his career so far - playing the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festival.

YUNGBLUD takes Jack on a trip down memory lane to the attic where he penned his first songs. He practices a brand new track live for the first time during festival rehearsals in his homeland of Sheffield. And when the big day arrives, Dom reveals a new side to himself before going on stage at the iconic, August bank holiday rock festival. Jack finds out how it feels to have played the biggest gig of his life and where he's going next.

Plus we hear from Foo Fighters in their touring 'jam room', and Dave Grohl's reflections on playing at Reading and Leeds Festival no less than ten times. And we meet the fans, festival boss Melvin Benn and those who make the event happen year on year.
