Los Angeles rapper Blueface rose to fame with an “offbeat” flow inspired by Bay Area hip-hop, and he’s turned it into his signature style. While it doesn’t land with everyone, his flow has more to it than meets the ear. To better understand the rapper’s unique sound, Genius spoke with Professor Nicole Holliday, Assistant Professor of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at Pomona College.
