"Where I'm from, Cameroon, still feels like home even though I haven't been home in nine years," Tamko explains. "It still is that place in my heart that I imagine when people talk about 'home,' that's the space that it occupies for me. And of course, New York is also home, but I would say that I tend to talk about home a lot and trying to find it, and sometimes it's a physical place and sometimes it's like how do I just feel comfortable every day … it's a lot of oscillating between those two ideas of home.
