In 1991, the University of Michigan recruited Jalen Rose as part of the famed Fab Five. The five athletes made history on the court as the first team to ever compete in the NCAA championship with freshman starters and set trends with their baggy clothes, black socks, and black shoes. Although the Fab Five never clinched a NCAA title, they achieved unquestionable cultural relevance—and Rose has several lyrical references to prove it.
