Crunk music didn’t end with Lil Jon nor did the legacy of the music often associated with Atlanta solely begin in Georgia’s crown jewel city. In fact, Crunk music began as Buck music in Memphis, Tennessee as a regional sound and culture, born in clubs and on mixtapes – that were actual physical tapes.
