Following the cancellation of Eurovision 2020, the song contest producers had less than seven weeks to put together the replacement show "Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light". Sietse Bakker — Executive Producer for Event of ESC 2020 — was a central figure in all of this. In our interview he discusses the original song contest plans, the difficulty of having to cancel, the NPO/AVROTROS vision for "Shine a Light" and much more.
