De Nederlandse pianist Louis van Dijk is gisteren overleden.
Om hem te eren uploaden wij deze unieke live opname in het AVRO tv-programma 'In de hoofdrol' waarin hij samen met Ramses Shaffy diens 'Marije' zingt, met een ludieke aanpassing in de tekst.

Pianist Louis van Dijk is afgelopen Paaszondag op 78-jarige leeftijd overleden.
Louis van Dijk werd in 1941 als Arnold Ludwig van Dijk geboren in Amsterdam en studeerde in 1968 cum laude af in de richting klassieke piano aan het conservatorium van Amsterdam, waar hij vervolgens het solisten-diploma pianospel haalde. Hij is vooral bekend geworden als jazzpianist en nam onder meer met het Louis van Dijk trio tientallen platen op, waarvoor hij negentien gouden en drie platina platen ontving.
Van Dijk werd ook bekend als vaste begeleider van Ramses Shaffy en Liesbeth List in het programma 'Shaffy Chantant'.
Deze unieke improvisatie op het nummer 'Marije' van Ramses Shaffy en hommage aan Louis van Dijk werd live uitgevoerd in het tv-programma 'In de hoofdrol' van 16 december 1986.

Dutch pianist Louis van Dijk passed away yesterday.
He is best known as a jazz pianist and recorded dozens of records with the Louis van Dijk trio, for which he received nineteen gold and three platinum records.
To honor him, we upload this unique live recording of him in the AVRO TV-program 'In de hoofdrol' in which he accompanies Dutch singer Ramses Shaffy in his song ‘Marije’, with a playful adaptation in the text.
