R.I.P Terence Wilson.
Co-founder of British reggae band UB40 Terence Wilson has died November 6, 2021, after a short illness. Wilson, whose stage name was Astro, was a member of UB40 for over thirty years. What exactly was wrong with Wilson has not been disclosed. Wilson started at UB40 as a roadie and was allowed to announce the band. He later became the second vocalist behind lead singer Ali Campbell. He also played trumpet and percussion.

In 2013, Wilson left the band, which scored hits such as ‘Red Red Wine’ and ‘Can't Help Falling In Love’. He joined the previously disbanded Ali Campbell. Together they formed an offshoot of the band under the name UB40 featuring Ali Campbell and Astro. A new album and a tour were planned for early next year.

The original band also still exists. On Twitter, the members offer their condolences to the family of their former bandmate.
'Please Don't Make Me Cry' was UB40's 12th single and became a big hit in Holland (#4 in the Top 40 and #1 in the Nationale Hitparade) in 1984. The single, taken from the group's 1983 album 'Labour of Love', was written by Winston Groovy and peaked at number 10 on the singles chart in the UK. The performance on Toppop features both leadsingers and brothers Ali Campbell and Robin Campbell. In January 2008 Ali left the band, later followed by rapper Astro.
