Use It Up and Wear It Out" is a song by Odyssey that was released as a single in 1980. It was originally released as the B-side of "Don't Tell Me, Tell Her". When it was re-released as the A-side it would go on to spend twelve weeks in the UK Singles Chart, including two at No.1
The song was written by Sandy Linzer and L. Russell Brown and produced by Linzer. It was the New York-based disco group's only UK No. 1 single, spending two weeks at the top of the charts from July 26 to August 8, 1980.

Originally this is a group from the United States. The original members were the sisters Lillian, Louise and Carmen Lopez who acted as The Lopez Sisters in the previous years.
Shortly after the start of Odyssey, Carmen decided to leave the group. The sisters went looking for a male successor and found it in the Filipino bassist-singer Tony Reynolds. He joined the group shortly after the single Native New Yorker became a hit. But Reynolds did not stay long. At the time of the debut album, Reynolds left and Bil McEachern took his place.
This single reached #4 in the Dutch Top 40 in September 1980.

This TROS Top 50 video was recorded and broadcast on 14 August 1980.
