Gerard Jan Joling (Alkmaar, April 29, 1960) is a Dutch singer and television presenter. He broke through in the eighties after participating in the Soundmixshow and became a very popular artist, especially in Asia. In 1988 he was the Dutch participant in the Eurovision Song Contest. He breathed new life into his career at the start of the 21st century by joining De Toppers and collaborating on television programs such as Joling & Gordon. He then presented various major TV shows, achieved musical hits such as Make Me Crazy and worked with Gordon as an ambassador for the National Elderly Fund.
The bass baritone Julian Hartman studied singing with Joy Workum, Sir Donald McIntyre, Aafje Heynis, David Wilson-Johnson and Peter Harrison. He sang among others the National Travel Opera, Opera Zuid, Independent Theater, the Flemish Opera, the Dutch Opera, Opernhaus Köln, Theater Freiburg, Stadttheater Luzern.
This duet was recorded at the Beleux Gala on 20 February 1991.
The Benelux gala is one of the three evenings of the Diamonds Awards Festival 1990, organized by the Dutch Edison Foundation, the Belgian BAP (Belgian Artistic Promotion) and IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry).

World famous music artists performed on TopPop: ABBA, 10CC, Bee Gees, The Jacksons, David Bowie, Earth & Fire, Boney M, Smokie, KC & The Sunshine Band, Chick, Donna Summer, Rod Stewart, and many many more.
