German schlager singer of Italian origin, born Domenico Gerhard Gorgoglione in Karlsruhe, Germany. Het moved to Cologne in 1972 and received the German nationality in 1980.
On May 6, 1989 Nino de Angelo represented Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest in Lausanne, Switzerland with the song ‘Flieger’ , a composition by Dieter Bohlen from Modern Talking. He reached the 14th place.

With this single ‘Jenseits vo Eden he reached #18 in the Dutch Top 40 on 18 February 1984.
